I was thinking that the ship needs a name the other day. Maybe we can be FemShiara's? It works, haha. #gottaunite

Femshiara. I don't know why but I love it haha.

I'm going to start my fourth Mass Effect/Mass Effect 2/Mass Effect 3 soon, after my renegade MaleShep playthrough is done with Mass Effect 3. I went MaleShep, FemShep, MaleShep, and I intend to keep alternating.

Long story short, I think my Infiltrator will be Femshiara just for the hell of it. :P

I was just thinkin' they needed a name y'know? I was busying myself with FLight and I thought, why in the hell don't FemShep and Liara have a name? Was only fitting.

I've yet to play ME as MaleShepaloo because I'm not a fan of Mark Meer's VA in it - I just think he's too one dimensional for my taste. And I can't play anything other than the solider class because I love using all the gunnnnns. I hate being confined and not having my assault rifles. #need

Although in the multiplayer I've played all classes, just not in the solo campaign. :)

Heh. It's funny. Most people don't really like Jennifer Hale's performance as FemShep, but I think both VA bring a slightly different character to the table. I like them both, which is why I alternate between MaleShep and FemShep.

Soldier class is probably the "easiest" to use, which is why it's likely the most enjoyable. I've played more Soldier Shepards than any other class combined, although that will change here soon. I'm currently working with an Adept, next will be an Infiltrator.

My favorite playthrough so far, was of a redhead Altair Shepard, Soldier, Spacer, War Hero, 80% paragon, and romanced the lovely Liara in all three games (if you count Lair of the Shadow Broker as romance for Liara in ME2, which I do). All 12 squadmates survived the suicide mission. Even Zaeed, even though he's a bit of a dick. I enjoyed this playthrough so freaking much.

My current playthrough has SUCKED. Arthur Shepard, Adept, Colonist, Ruthless, 95% renegade. It's so not fun being a dick. :nuu:

FemShiara works for me. Makes sense, like Brangelina.

If you like a robot-sounding character Meer is your choice. If you want a character that actually emotes, Hale does the job. I always play the male versions and normally stray away from the females - but this game was different. FemShep was waaaaaaay too smexy and powerful to play as just another guy. There aren't enough strong female leads, and there have been enough effing male military roles already. #enoughisenough

I don't know about it being the easiest, but it does have the most in terms of weapon selection, and since I have enough biotics flying around - I would feel my Liara to be underused if I hade my Shep be a vanguard or adept.

I played all my bazillion Sheps as paragon (or at least mostly paragon) and it just got boring, so I switched to renegade my last playthrough and I couldn't go full renegade because some of the choices I was like: "but....this...is...morally...wrong...." haha. Plus Liara's quips about not always agreeing with Shepard's decisions kind of jabbed you in the heart a bit with the renegade streak.

Ugh. I freakin hate my full renegade Arthur Shepard because he's such an ass! I like a 70/30 paragon/renegade mix.

I don't think Meer sounds like a robot, he really does emote at times. Like when Joker makes this joke after Thessia got attacked by Reapers, Meers sounds PISSED while Hale sounds tired and a bit angry. Which I like both, in different ways.

I do however, like playing as a FemShep more than a MaleShep. I find myself playing female characters in games more and more often, I used to always stray from that because I didn't want people thinking I'm only playing as a girl because I'm a straight guy wanting to look at a hot girl. Now, I just don't give a damn what people think. Besides, my female characters in games are generally very modest. Like in Skyrim, I don't have any of those stupid skimpy armor mods. I have like, 5 Skyrim characters, 3 of which are girls. (Male Nord, Female Bosmer, Female Altmer, Female Imperial, Male Imperial, Female Breton). Of course if you're not a Skyrim player I just spoke a bunch of meaningless words LOL...anyway I digress.

I generally play female characters nowadays because of a certain mindset I have. In my mind, a woman will outperform a man because she fights harder to overcome any gender differences/issues than a man would. A man gets into a fight with a girl he thinks he's already won and doesn't need to fight very hard. The woman can kick his ass if he's not careful.

That's my mindset anyway.

Peace.

The lines for the renegade are fucking epic in some parts though, I mean, you've gotta hand it to the writers.

OHHHHH I've played Skyrim, but only once. And I was disappointed by the lack of male characters my male nord could pick from. Plus overusing the same three voice actors to voice everyone got annoying. I need to play it again with a female character but it took sooooo long. Currently finishing FFXIII and then have FXIII-2 to complete. Then I'll probably take another zip at Skyrim.

Eh, Meer voicing Shepard and only SOMETIMES emoting isn't really the prime choice for me. Too many robotic military dudes in game, and FemShep should have been the default choice. I mean a game that can include non-hetero relationships could have incorporated the default player being female. Plus, Meer was never originally supposed to be the end result for Shepard, he was just going to be voicing him for the demo (and Bioware should have kept it that way). He's a great guy, I've tweeted with him multiple times, I just don't think he was the best choice for Shepaloo. Not by a long shot.

Both male and female characters in games fit into their gender stereotypes way too often, which is why I typically stray from fem characters. They're too "omg watch me while I run like a pansy with my tits bouncing." C'mon, how the hell am I supposed to believe this chick can take multiple grenades thrown at her? Now FemShep is my absolute fav gaming heroine because she empowers characteristics that society has deemed to only be acceptable if it's a guy running around acting as such. She embodies them in a way that shows both her femininity and masculinity, and pretty damn well balanced.

I'm a female that likes playing the male characters first (generally) because I find them less annoying really. My sexuality has little to do with it, I find men equally as attractive as women - and usually if a character looks smexy Im'a be all "let's fuck shit up" with them.

Your last paragraph; amen brother. :)

Thansk, and I agree.

I figured I'd kind of contrast each of their poses with the 'almost kiss' shot in the center, sort of insinuating that amongst all the chaos they at least have each other in some form. #sentimental
